Excellence in Sports

Our vision is that everyone, regardless
of their age, background or level of
ability, feels able to engage in sport and
physical activity.

Sport England, Towards an Active Nation

New End Primary School prides itself on its involvement in a wide variety of sporting activities.  The importance of sports and games in school encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. Increases in self-esteem and mental alertness make school sports and games necessary for every school age child.

We have specialist coaches who deliver a wide range of sports during weekly lessons.

Children in Year 3 to 6 have at least half a term’s cricket training from an ex-county cricketer.

New End is also heavily involved in the Camden School Sports Association and participates in inter-school competitions against other local schools.  Competitions include sports such as athletics , cross country , cricket, football, rounders, swimming, tag rugby and tennis.  Individuals and New End teams have represented Camden in the London Youth Games in gymnastics, rounders, swimming and tennis.
