Our Year Five classes take part each year in the Schools’ Shakespeare Festival. Each year a class takes an abridged Shakespear play and performs it on a London stage. The children are always absolutely outstanding! Can you guess which plays have been performed in previous years?

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, everyone at New End fell silent to honour the people who have lost their lives in war.

The Year Five painting of the school in the summer is now complete.  Thanks to all the children in 5T for the wonderful paintings of the children playing in the grounds.  Thanks to 5H for painting our beautiful building.  Special thanks to our wonderful Artist-in-Resident, Grethe, for supporting the children in the creation of this wonderful piece which you will now find hanging as you enter the school.
