Sky Day 2019
An ex-New Ender, Ben Whitehouse, set up this exciting world wide project named Sky Day in 2017. Ben attended our school in the 1960’s and 1970’s. This year Sky Day was held on Friday, September 20th, 2019. The aim of the Sky Day Project was for as many individuals and groups to take photographs of the sky above them in September. The project asked us to use our creativity to photograph the sky above us – just the sky, nothing else! Any hint of people, lamp posts, mountains, horizons, trees etc. was weeded out by the filters and did not get into the artwork! However, we just had to show you the view from one of our windows on Sky Day. How lucky are we to have such spectacular views! All the contributions from around the world are now available to view on-line at Sky Day Project (skydayproject.org) Here's some of the photographs we submitted...although you can see all of them on line!
